In college, I loved the communities that I was able to participate in. The Ultimate Frisbee team was my sanctuary from academics. Every weekend road-trip and holiday break spent with the lads is deeply etched into my memory. The Kosher-Halal Dining Co-op was my “home-life.” We cooked together, sang together, ate together and even cried together. I loved that these communities were immersive and immensely supportive throughout my four years. I made countless memories and friends for life, simply by being an active participant in the groups. As a coach, I’ve really enjoyed forming close friendships with my students. The few times that I’ve met up with them in person have been very special; it often feels like meeting up with an old friend.
